Trendy Thonglor was attracting most buyer attention last month (November) for people searching for property to buy in Bangkok.
The district (pictured) was the most-searched for property for sale for users of Thailand-Property.com, the Kingdom’s number one property website.
On-Nut recorded the second largest number of searches for Bangkok property for sale, indicating perhaps that predominantly non-Thai property buyers are looking further away from traditional expatriate areas for their next property purchase or investment.
Adam Sutcliffe, Managing Director of Thailand-Property.com, was not surprised at Thonglor’s number one position.
He said: “Thonglor is a safe bet for expatriates looking to buy property in Bangkok, with a significant amount of new developments and resale units on the market and listed for sale on Thailand-Property.com.
“On the other hand, On-Nut’s second place is a firm indicator that central Bangkok property prices are rising out of the reach of some foreign buyers, and these people are now looking further afield for their next property purchase and investment.”
Prices in On Nut are general half or less of those in Thonglor, both for outright purchases and rentals despite the locations being just less than 11 km apart by road.
