For those just visiting the popular resort town of Pattaya, it may come as a surprise to learn that less than 75 years ago it was little more than a small fishing village.
It was only in the 1940’s that Pattaya’s potential to grow into a major destination was realised. In order to stimulate growth in the area, land grants were awarded to influential people of the time; those who were thought of to have the ability and vision to develop new and meaningful projects. One of the most prominent land recipients was the Governor of Chonburi Province; a man named Khun Prinya Chavalittamrong.
As years passed and land grants were built upon, Pattaya continued to expand outwards. Keeping up with the city’s development, Khun Prinya, his son, and then grandson grew their portfolio by purchasing and developing more land until over 1,000 rai were in their possession. In present day, this translates to roughly 50% of Pattaya’s land falling under the ownership of the Chavalittamrong family legacy.
Having inherited an immense amount of land and wealth from previous generations, the grandson of the family, named Khun Itthi, decided to carry on the traditions of his family by developing his personal dream home on the best land plot in their portfolio. As this project would be his inaugural development, Khun Itthi was determined to create nothing short of a masterpiece; a landmark condominium reserved strictly for himself and Thailand’s elite. His new home, he decided, would be called The Cove.
Built to such high standards by Khun Itthi’s company, Petch Property Development, The Cove’s 18-storey condominium now sits on a prime 70 rai of land on a perfectly secluded private beach with ideally crystal-clear water and excellent amenities. The lucky few who live there can take advantage of a fully-equipped fitness center, sublime swimming pools, Jacuzzi, squash courts and commodious business center.
