To reinforce the message that it’s very much business as usual in Bangkok, the Housing Finance Association yesterday kicked off its annual HomeBuyers’ Expo 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in the city.
The exhibition offers property buyers and investors more than 325 housing and condominium projects, along with deals from numerous financial institutes. The event takes place from now until Sunday, August 23.
During the opening ceremony for the event, the President of the Housing Finance Association, Kitti Patpongpibul, estimated that THB 20 billion worth of home loans would be made during the expo, a modest increase from last year’s THB 18 billion.
He said that he is positive the real estate market will still grow despite the local economic slowdown, given real estate companies are now allowed to extend their terms of payment.
He also noted his confidence that the new Thai government cabinet line-up will be capable of keeping the various projects on track, particularly Thailand’s infrastructure projects.
