The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has sought to bolster understanding of building safety systems in the capital, with an aim to reduce accidents caused by automatic safety measures.
Bangkok Governor, MR Sukhumbhand Paribata, attended a recent seminar on understanding building security systems and measures, an event that was also attended by commercial building owners and department store operators. The session was organised by the Bangkok Disaster Prevention and Mitigation office.
The seminar was arranged in response to the large amount of citizens that live in Bangkok, which necessitate careful security management, and aims to encourage public participation in ensuring their own safety.
One focus of the seminar was automatic security systems, and how a lack of understanding for such systems can lead to misuse and accidents that can result in loss of life or property damage.
Caretakers of such systems were urged to thoroughly understand their tasks to avoid mishaps.
