The island of Koh Samui proved popular last month as it jumped to be the second–most popular destination for property and real estate searches on Thailand-Property.com – Thailand’s number one English property website.
Searches for Bangkok property have been consistently occupying the top spot on the property portal, but Chiang Mai – the holder of the runners-up spot during September – dropped to fourth last month with the Gulf of Thailand resort city of Pattaya holding its third place in the rankings of the top six most-searched popular property locations in Thailand.

Developers on the island of Koh Samui have been particularly active ahead of the traditional high season for resort property transactions in Thailand, and what was once considered to be the reserve of only the rich but now has some compelling, value for money, properties that won’t break the bank.
Their attentions have certainly not gone unnoticed by visitors to Thailand’s top English property website.
Adam Sutcliffe, Managing Director of Dot Property Group, owners of Thailand-Property.com, said: “For many in the industry Koh Samui’s increasing popularity will come as no surprise.
“For the resorts of Hua Hin and Phuket, which were fifth and sixth in terms of searches last month, we are already seeing increased activity this month as we enter the high season.
“Next month’s list will be quite revealing, and could also be an indication of which resort and developers will enjoy a significant and busy high season this year.”
