Geocon, Canberra’s largest developer, will be hosting an Agent Day in Bangkok as it looks to take advantage of growing interest in overseas real estate from the Thailand market. The event will take place on December 3 at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit where more than 40 local property professionals will learn about the Canberra real estate market and one of Geocon’s newest developments, Black Diamond.
The strong Thai baht has presented local property investors with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to purchase overseas real estate. The Australian market is one that has several advantages for Thai buyers with a quality education system, path to permanent residency and strong market fundamentals making it attractive.
Additionally, purchasing property in Canberra is very transparent and there is no foreign buyer stamp duty in place. The Canberra market also has several distinct advantages over other locations in Australia, such as having the country’s highest average wages and lowest unemployment rate.
Unlike other Australian developers, Geocon offers end-to-end service to real estate buyers, including property management. It is a local company meaning no one knows the Canberra market quite like they do. These are just a few of the traits that has earned the firm trust among overseas property investors.
The Agent Day, which is being organised by Dot Property, will allow representatives from Geocon to meet with local agents and provide them information on the benefits of adding Canberra properties to their stock. Several international developers have similar arrangements with local real estate agents and these partnerships are seen as true win-win situations.
The Geocon Agent Day is scheduled for December 3 at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. There will be lunch followed by a seminar. Space for the event is limited and no walk-ins will be allowed. Local real estate agents interested in attending the Geocon Agent Day can email adam@dotpropertygroup.com to reserve a spot.
