Property searches for real estate in Chiang Mai are the second-most popular on Thailand-Property.com – Thailand’s number one English language property portal.
During both August and September searches for property the northern Thai city were only eclipsed in a list of the six most-popular searches for ‘real estate for sale’ in Thailand by those for the capital, Bangkok.
For some this will come as a surprise but it should also be taken as an indication of the competition that’s growing for property purchases and investments in Chiang Mai. One reason could be more people looking at lower-priced second homes in non-traditional resort locations – and at generally lower prices.
Thailand’s second city recorded more searches for Pattaya property during September, which rose two places month-on-month to occupy third place in the most-popular searched for real estate.
Of the six most-popular locations for property searches in Thailand, Phuket finished bottom of the six during both August and September, although with the high season about to start there’s every indication that searches for property and real estate on the southern Thailand island will increase in popularity.
