A picture says a thousand words.
Many of us are fortunate enough to live in the hectic, but fun, city of Bangkok. Life is all around us and it can be hard to capture it all in one go. It would be good to bottle it up to show others from outside of the region. Budding photographers can do just that.
The increased quality of smartphone cameras allow us to snap on the go, as sometimes there is just seconds to capture that moment. We send images and videos to our friends and family across the world in seconds, and Facebook live means everyone can be a part of our day even if they aren’t by our side.
CBRE are holding their annual Urban Photography Competition for both amateur and professional entrants from across the globe. The theme is, ‘Cities of Connections: People, Places, Perspectives’ and it invites photographers to submit photos that capture moments of connectivity across the daily cycle of city life. An interesting twist to the competition is that each entrant can submit up to 24 images to represent each hour of the day. The overall global winner will be awarded a special photography trip to a destination of their choice for themselves and a friend. Plus other prizes include photography drones, GoPro packages and more.
Paul Suchman, CBRE’s global chief marketing officer, comments, “CBRE has the unique opportunity to play a critical role in both shaping and celebrating stories of the urban environment. We are proud to honor the richness and diversity of city life around the world and encourage photographers to capture the essence of the urban environment”.
