The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced plans to develop its 218-Rai empty land plot in Bang Sue district as a new commercial centre.
The project is part of the under-construction Bang Sue Central Station, a modern transportation hub in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
SRT Governor Wutthichart Kalayanamitr said the property would be utilised for commercial purposes.
With the concept of transit oriented development, it will be developed as a mixed-use community centered around modern transportation systems.
The master plan for the project is expected to be completed in September this year.
Once completed, Bang Sue Central Station will link the Airport Rail Link, Blue Line MRT, Green Line BTS, long distance train and high-speed train systems.
It will also connect Phahonyothin and Vibhavadi Rangsit roads.
