The housing segment has been an area of emphasis for SC Asset over the years. And while the COVID-19 pandemic has seen demand for homes grow in Bangkok, that didn’t mean the developer could rest on its previous accomplishments.
“Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, we started to see some changes in consumer behavior. We did research and found that people become home heavy users. They spend and do more activities at home, therefore people started looking for more space and low-rise properties seem to be the answer. So, we continue focusing on the low-rise segment and aim to be number one in the market,” SC Asset Head of Marketing, Khun Nattagit Sirirat (Khem), told Dot Property Group.
The research conducted by SC Asset revealed a number of pain points that it worked to address in 2021. The biggest thing the developer has come to understand is that the home has become more than just a place to sleep. It is now a place for everything.
“For instance, they need more space, focusing more on energy saving since staying at home all day could cause high energy consumption,” Khun Khem said. “They also want spaces that can support their usual activities and relax at the same time. And once people have to spend long hours in a place, aesthetics is something that can’t be compromised as well.”
SC Asset has also been mindful of the need to create family housing which allows for multigenerational living. It is vital projects support residents of all ages, and the homebuilder has launched many features to reach that goal. This innovation can be seen at projects under its Grand Bangkok Boulevard brand.
“The houses in Grand Bangkok Boulevard projects usually have a lot of space and large family areas where multi-generation family members can come spend good times and moments together. And if they want to have some privacy, the house has a lot of rooms and each room is large, giving a great personal space for each member,” Khun Khem noted.
He continued, “The house at Grand Bangkok Boulevard projects has what we called the eldercare solution such as the slope for a wheelchair, a soft floor designed to absorb the shock when they fall, the restroom on the first floor is equipped with a handrail and the floor doesn’t have a step to supporting the senior family members.”
The homebuilder’s work in the housing sector last year was recognized with two honors at the Dot Property Thailand Awards 2021. Grand Bangkok Boulevard East Rama 9 was named as Best Luxury Housing Development while Best New Launch Villa Development was presented to Bangkok Boulevard Donmueang – Chaengwatthana.
“At SC Asset we never stop improving our living solutions and this award is a great witness of what we’ve achieved so the only way for us to go is to do better and better. We aim to develop living solutions continuously and continue our growth by keep opening new high-quality projects that is to make us Thailand’s number one housing development brand,” Khun Khem reported.
