Relocation to Hua Hin - Relocation to Cha-am.
Relocating to Hua Hin and Cha-am is an easy process if done correctly. As Thailand has a good climate is is becoming a popular destination for many families. Of course before relocating, you will want to know more about the area you are relocating too. The information here is a brief description of what to expect.
It is very important to work with someone who knows the area where you will be relocating too before making the move, their advice can sometimes be extremely helpful.
If you have a young family to consider there are three schools here that have part English programs and they are Salasian, Hua Hin School, and Hua Hin Vitayalai teaching Thai curriculum in Science, Maths and English, where as the Somtawin School has a full English program. The Webster and Stamford Universities offer international degrees taught in English.
Health care is another issue, with the new hospital in Hua Hin that should when be finished be to a very high standard apart from that there is good surgeries with private doctors, dentist, ear noise and throat, opticians etc, most of the hospitals take medical insurance like Blue Star and Buppa or you can pay as you go, a lot of Europeans use these facilities as they are cheaper that back in their own countries.
Transport, here you are spoilt for choice with the main distributors available for cars and motorbikes, prices are extremely cheap plus you get a good service backup. Road fund Tax and insurance are at affordable rates, you will need to apply for a Thai driving license or you can use an International license.
Furniture and Food, this to is not a problem as there are many outlets and large supermarket stores in the area also the local markets that offer fresh meat and fruits.
Sports and activities, Hua Hin is not lacking in this field, it you are a golf freak the choice is almost endless with so many international golf courses within a short distance of the town, fitness gyms, spa, cricket, badminton, squash, tennis and swimming pools, sea and fresh water fishing are all available plus you have the beach activities for wind wind surfing, sailing, power gliding, Polo, jet sky, pony riding etc.
Housing, What do you want again there is such a wide range of choice here from rented accommodation to owning your own property like a villa or an apartment, when buying something in Thailand you are strongly advised to get good legal advice. As with all property there is good and bad again use a good property agent that knows what they are talking about, most good agents will save you money and keep to within your budget, you do not save anything trying to do it yourselves.
